Opera&#8217;s own FTP server currently has the <a href=\"ftp:\/\/ftp.opera.com\/pub\/opera\/win\/800\/en\/\">Windows<\/a> and <a href=\"ftp:\/\/ftp.opera.com\/pub\/opera\/linux\/800\/final\/en\/\">Linux<\/a> versions available, as well as the first public beta for <a href=\"ftp:\/\/ftp.opera.com\/pub\/opera\/mac\/800b1\/en\/\">Mac<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For those unfamiliar with Opera, it&#8217;s an alternative to Internet Explorer with a number of additional features and speed improvements over the default Windows browser.  Unlike Mozilla&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spreadfirefox.com\/?q=user\/register&#038;r=79076\">Firefox<\/a>, however, Opera is not open-source or completely free.  You can download a free version that pays for it&#8217;s development through the use of small text-ads along the top menu, as seen above, or you can <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opera.com\/buy\/\">pay for an ad-free version<\/a>.
