This photograph was taken during Operation Mountain Resolve, a month-long operation launched in November 2003 to round up Afghan rebels in eastern Afghanistan’s Kunar and Nuristan Provinces. The picture shows a CH-47 Chinook helicopter being lowered onto a roof to receive Afghans taken by the Army’s 10th Mountain Division.
Month: February 2004
I pre-ordered Battlefield Vietnam for the PC today. After more than getting my money’s worth with Battlefield 1942, I decided to take the chance without reading a review. Now I only have to wait until the March 16th release date.
Tomorrow I’m thinking about pre-ordering Unreal Tournament 2004 as well.
For the IT people out there …
Microsoft has made available some security posters for you to download and post around the more clueless end-users around your office.
Is it spring yet?
What a difference a day can make …
Yesterday it was in the low fifties up here and now it’s back into the low thirties and the white stuff has made a comeback.
At least I got the chance to take the Fiero out and wash off all the dirt and salt that had been accumilating over the last month or so. I even had a chance to annoy the teenager who was in the carwash bay next to me, scrubbing down his little riced-out pickup truck while the latest urban street thug music rumbled out through his expensive subwoofer, vibrating the entire vehicle with every thudding note. In response, I simply rolled down all my windows and played Duran Duran hits over and over. It’s amazing how annoying “Wild Boys” on a twenty-year old stock Fiero sound system can be to the youths of today.
I feel GREAT …
We need more commercials like this.
