The UK’s Mirror has a brief mention of an incident involving two Star Wars fans who obviously had far more enthusiasm for making a fan-film than brains.

The couple, aged 17 and 20, decided to recreate the CGI-created lightsabers from the films by filling two fluorescent light tubes with gasoline and taking a match to them.

According to the report, the two are currently in critical condition in a UK hospital.

According to the home owners, their house is under radio wave radiation attack by unknown neighbors, an explanation city officials obviously don’t buy. The family has been ordered to remove their home’s protective layer.

Massachusetts Spammer Groups Shut Down

The BBC is reporting that Massachusetts Attorney General Tom Reilly has requested and received an emergency restraining order to shut down websites belonging to Leo Kuvayev and six other individuals involved with the organizations 2K Services Limited and Ecash Pay Limited.

According to Reilly, the groups were responsible for millions of email spam that ran afoul of Massachusetts’ consumer-protection laws and the federal anti-spam CAN-SPAM Act.

BBC News has a rather odd story about a car that went out of control on the A20 highway in Basingstoke, Hampshire. The red BMW struck a fence at high speed, causing the automobile to launch itself into the air and land in an unoccupied 2nd story room in the house of Joyce and Joe Harman.

Police are still investigating why the car lost control and are planning to interview the two passengers, who were rushed off to the local hospital due to their injuries.
