Our local Geek Squad USO 1817 took an opportunity to be part of the 2010 Pro Football Hall of Fame Parade in Canton, Ohio today. It’s always good fun to hear the crowd shouting “Geek Squad!” as soon as they see the Geekmobiles.

The crowd went wild when the Best Buy Blue Shirts and Geek Squad Agents would “spin” the float during the parade.

Additional photos from the parade can be found here.

Rock and Roll in New York City

I had one of those “once in a lifetime” trips this week when I went to New York City for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 2010 Inception Ceremony. This year being the 25th inception ceremony made it even more special.

Although you never seem to have enough time while there, visiting various sites around New York, such as Grand Central Station and Times Square, were as great as you’d expect. I look forward to visiting again to see more, though I doubt I’ll ever see “everything” the city has to offer.

Continuing my recent round of local trips to area attractions, I stopped into the the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum, located in University Circle, here in Cleveland, Ohio.

San Diego, Midway and Marketer of the Year

I love to travel, so I was especially happy when several members of the @Twelpforce team were asked if we’d like to attend the Direct Marketing Association’s 2009 conference in San Diego. Best Buy had won Marketer of the Year, primarily for our social media efforts such as the Best Buy Communtity and Twelpforce.

San Diego was great, and I have photos from walking around in my free time. The highlight of the visit was definitely the USS Midway, the longest serving aircraft carrier in the Navy.
