I spoke to Bill Wills from the Wills & Snyder radio show on Cleveland’s WTAM 1100 this morning about how the proper use of passwords can help protect your home network from intruders.

With laptops, gaming systems, tablet PCs, smartphones and even HDTVs connecting to the Internet, a wireless network has become a must-have for most houses. Much like you make sure that your front door is locked, you need to keep your network protected from unwanted visitors as well.

Keep Your Windows 7 PC Updated with SP1

If you are like most Microsoft Windows users, you are always looking for ways to keep your home or business computer experience running as smoothly as possible.

You have an up to date antivirus protection program installed and running regular scans. You have your system set to backup your important data, either to an external hard drive or an online service (or even both). And of course, you always make sure that you have the latest security updates and operating system patches from Microsoft. This is good, because Microsoft just released Service Pack 1 for Windows 7, the latest operating system found on most new computers.
